Subject: fallocate for ext2?

Hi all,

I've been trying to follow the fallocate thread and was curious if it's
worthwhile or worthless to attempt an implementation for ext2. I know
ext2 isn't actively developed, per se, but I'm looking for a manageable
project to cut my teeth on and get up to speed.

Thanks,
Kirk
